As a Clinical Team Leader at Adelaide Remand Centre , you will provide leadership and oversight for the delivery of high-quality primary and mental health care services to patients. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic correctional healthcare environment, guiding a team of skilled nurses while ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory standards.

As a key member of our healthcare team, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate healthcare services to ensure optimal patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise and support a team of Registered Nurses and a Mental Health Nurse, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical governance, policies, and procedures, maintaining high-quality and evidence-based nursing practices.
  • Oversee patient assessments, care planning, and health interventions in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage incident reporting, risk mitigation, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and performance management to enhance staff competency and engagement.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing and current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a healthcare team.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical governance, quality assurance, and risk management.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • A commitment to cultural awareness, ethical practice, and professional integrity.
