Dental Assistant

Currently seeking casual Dental Assistants to join our dental teams. In this role you will be working 100% chairside, assisting our Dentists in providing dental services to the Australian Defence Personnel. 
 
As a Dental Assistant, you’ll make a positive impact by:
• Providing assistance to Dentists 
• Implementing infection control procedures within the dental surgery in accordance with National Standards and Defence Policies and Procedures
• Managing patients in accordance with approved protocols
• Maintaining optimal hygiene and cleanliness of the dental surgery
managing patient clinical records, filing of hard copy reports, booking and recall of patients
• Participating in governance and quality improvement activities including clinical reviews, health
surveillance and auditing
• Ordering and maintenance of clinical stores and pharmaceutical imprest supplies
• Performing regular checks, calibration and maintenance of clinical equipment

If you are passionate about providing efficient dental assistance and being part of a supportive team in a chairside dental assistant role, we would love to hear from you! Our dental roles are Monday to Friday day shifts, no nights or weekends. 
 
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
• Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) chair-side dental assisting experience with at least 2 years full-time equivalent within the last 5 years

Please note:

• You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
• You don’t need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian on-base and your job stays here, even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.
