About The Location
The Robertson Health Centre is located on Robertson Barracks in Holtze, 15km east of Darwin. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, pharmaceutical, dental, physiotherapy and mental health services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday.
About The Role
- Casual role
- Standard clinic hours Monday to Friday
- No Medicare Bulk Billing/Private Insurance Claims
- Salaried employee position - No bad debts or owner overheads and job security
Primary Duties
- Provide emergency dental treatment, dental examinations, and referrals.
- Perform preventative treatments like scaling, cleaning, and fluoride therapy.
- Restore teeth damaged by caries or trauma with crowns and bridges.
- Treat diseases of the roots, gums, soft tissues, and perform minor oral surgeries.
- Use X-rays for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Manage malformation and misalignment of teeth and jaws (functional purposes only).
- Design and fit dentures, oral appliances, and mouthguards.
- Perform tooth extractions, root canals, and single-unit implant restorations.
- Diagnose and manage TMJ-related disorders, including splint therapy or referrals.
- Provide local anaesthesia, oral health promotion, and liaise with healthcare professionals.
Mandatory Requirements
- Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain a Defence Baseline Security Clearance
- Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Dentist
- Minimum of 2 years' full-time post-graduate clinical experience within the last 5 years
- First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certification
