About the Role:

As a Locum Pharmacist, you’ll:

  • Dispense medications in line with legal requirements, Defence Policies, and professional standards.
  • Provide patient care by offering advice, answering queries, and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to promote medication safety and optimal therapeutic outcomes.
  • Manage inventories, ensuring stock levels meet demand, and that medications are stored and distributed in line with best practices.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be an Australian Citizen (required) and have the following qualifications and experience:

  • AHPRA Registration: Current, unconditional registration as a Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Relevant Experience: At least 2 years’ full-time post-trainee/internship experience within the last 5 years in Defence, Hospital, or Community Pharmacy settings.
  • CPD Engagement: Demonstrated participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities as per AHPRA standards.
  • Current CPR Certification: A valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certificate.
  • Professional Memberships: Membership in organizations like the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia or the Society of Hospital Pharmacists is a bonus.
