ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in providing:
- Comprehensive Physiotherapy Services : Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy assessments, treatments, and rehabilitation for a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries that ADF members typically experience.
- Collaborative Approach : Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care. You’ll prioritize goal-oriented strategies and measurable outcomes, ensuring quick and successful recovery for our patients.
- Holistic Care : Take a comprehensive approach to health and well-being, focusing not only on injury treatment but also on prevention, rehabilitation, and long-term resilience.
- Evidence-Based Practice : Stay at the forefront of the field by integrating the latest research and techniques into your treatment plans, ensuring optimal outcomes.
- Patient-Cantered Care : Focus on each patient's needs and preferences. Through empathetic communication and active listening, you’ll empower ADF members to take ownership of their rehabilitation and recovery.
ABOUT THE HEALTH CENTRE
The Robertson Health Centre is located at Robertson Barracks in Holtze, just 15 km east of Darwin. Our facility serves approximately 2,800 defence staff, including a large reserve component. We provide a wide range of services, including primary medical care, pharmacy, dental, physiotherapy, mental health services, and a 22-bed 24/7 ward. Our standard operating hours are Monday to Friday, from 0730 to 1530.
ABOUT YOU
As the ideal applicant you will:
- Have at least 2 years of post-graduate musculoskeletal experience (part-time or full-time equivalent) within the last 5 years, working in an Accredited Physiotherapy Setting.
- Hold current, unconditional registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA.
- Have recently engaged in Continuing Professional Development activities in line with AHPRA guidelines.
- Hold a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (HLTAID009).
- Have membership with the Australian Physiotherapy Association (preferred).
- Are an Australian citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Baseline Security Clearance.
