Registered Nurse – Part time 32hour per week
About Your New Role:
In your new role as a Registered Nurse you will work a rotating roster of afternoon and night shift Monday to Sunday, shift penalties apply in accordance with award conditions.
Shift times:
- Afternoon shift is 1500 to 2300
- Night duty is 2245 to 0715
You are responsible for providing quality clinical care to patients. You will develop and maintain patient care plans, liaise with the multi-disciplinary healthcare team to provide co-ordinated patient management, provide assessment of patients and co-ordinate outpatient and inpatient treatments.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Minimum of 12 months Post Graduate experience within the last 5 years in an ED, acute care, primary health care, or military setting .
- Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
Please note:
- You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
About Lavarack
Lavarack Health Centre is located in Townsville at Lavarack Barracks, the largest Army base in Australia. It includes the Operational Deployment Force and facilities to undertake mission rehearsal exercises prior to deployment. The facility provides primary medical, underwater medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical care to approximately 8000 members. It also operates a 24/7 inpatient low dependency ward.
