Make an impact at Serco

As a School Cleaner, you will perform routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming, to ensure a clean and hygienic environment in classrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.

You will also: 

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors, and restock supplies as needed.
• Empty and properly dispose of waste bins and recyclables.
• Maintain and organize cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate cleaning schedules and tasks.
• Adhere to school policies and regulations.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to Work, Health and Safety standards

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Valid Australian work rights
• NSW National Police check issued within the last 3 months
• Working with Children Check or willing to get one
• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to cleaning.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to maintaining a clean and welcoming school environment.
