As a Health Services Manager at the Clarence Correctional Centre, you’ll lead a multidisciplinary health services team in a state-of-the-art facility housing 1,700 inmates. Reporting to the General Manager, you'll be at the forefront of delivering evidence-based healthcare to individuals from diverse backgrounds.

As a Health Services Manager, you’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, doctors, and allied health staff
  • Overseeing clinical and corporate governance to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality healthcare delivery
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively for sustainable health service operations
  • Embedding continuous improvement practices for compliance and accreditation
  • Ensure the integrity of patient management systems and records are maintained
  • Support recruitment, training, and development of clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Manage ethical behaviour in accordance with relevant standards, values and policies
  • Promoting equity, diversity, and occupational health standards across the workplace

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • Experience at a senior level in leading and managing complex multidisciplinary health services
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and/or Paramedicine
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Healthcare Management or Business Administration are highly desirable
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
  • Knowledge of clinical governance, risk management, and quality assurance processes
  • Commitment to providing culturally sensitive and inclusive healthcare services

About Clarence Correctional Centre 

Opened in mid-2020, this 1,700-bed state-of-the-art facility is the largest correctional Centre in Australia.  Located on the beautiful NSW North Coast approx. 6 hours' drive from Sydney and 3.5 hours from Brisbane our region offers rainforests, epic headlands, sand dunes and some of the best Australian beaches with a variety of multi-cultural cafes, restaurants, and friendly community towns.
